I’ve been having a lot of major depression lately, so this has been occurring a lot.
It’s been extremely difficult for me to get out of bed, eat, drink, bathe myself, speak, etc. Often I just lie on the floor as seen above. I don’t have motivation to even breath much anymore. It’s beginning to make me physically sick now. I’m suffering migraines lightheadedness, fatigue, difficulty breath, nauseous
Of course no one in the house has noticed. No one except Scout, my dog. I’ve had this dog for about 7 years now. I swear to god, he has better emotional perception than my family. When I first started getting into these dark moods (about a week ago) I came home early from school after some kind of semi mental breakdown. Once I get home, he follows me into my room and sits on my bed while I sleep for the next 3 hours. He’s still there when I wake up. He’s started following me everywhere and will just sit in a room with me until I leave. He watches me, looks me straight in the eye, like he’s try to make sure I don’t do anything “bad” (and I’ve been considering it). If I lie down on the floor, he sits at my head and waits for me to get up.
Honestly, I think he’s helping. It’s nice knowing that someone is always looking out for you, even if it’s a dog. He’s reminding me of Rex, an old hallucination I had that was almost constantly in my presence. Scout’s been so good with me lately. It’s like he’s taking care of me instead of me taking care of him. Interesting how that works.
